"Children are apt to live up to what you believe of them."
-- Lady Bird Johnson
The I Believe Foundation is a non-profit foundation dedicated to creating a learning, fun and therapeutic
environment for children with disabilities.
We adapt everyday activities and sports to include children with physical and/or social-emotional disabilities. We make a difference in these families' lives by creating an environment where these children can be successful in recreational and learning activities.
Our foundation is based on 2 simple facts: Our community lacks a learning play environment specifically for children with disabilities; Children learn and obtain skills through their occupation, which is play.
"They all want to do these things. They know they're not like everyone else. And when you can't participate with everyone else, in social functions, it makes you think you're that much different…that's why I Believe is so great." Stephanie Heaberlin, mother of a child with Autism.
