Texas Roadhouse sponsors annual golf scramble for kids

ASHLAND, KY, JULY 15, 2009:  The Diamond Links Golf Course on Rt. 3 will be the site of the Texas Roadhouse Charity Golf Scramble.  The competition takes place on Friday, July 24, 2009, with everyone meeting at 8:30 a.m.  This annual event is held to benefit The I Believe Foundation.   All team positions have been filled, but anyone can still sponsor a hole on the course by contacting Mandy Kidwell at the number above.  

About The I Believe Foundation

I Believe was established by three Occupational Therapists who became aware of the many limitations placed on special-needs children and their families.  Activities are held throughout the year that are dedicated to creating a fun, learning and therapeutic environment for disabled children to enjoy.   Quite a few children connected with I Believe are also patients at Our Lady of Bellefonte Pediatric Rehab.  Kim McKenzie, a Speech Therapist and Manager of OLBH Pediatric Rehab, stated, “I Believe allows these children to participate in the kinds of activities that they couldn’t otherwise.”
